Hello, dear teachers!
Whether you make New Year resolutions or not, every January feels like a new beginning, full of possibility and opportunity. It's high time to start working at usual and even more productive pace!
The headteachers do their best to get your students back from holidays, but the teacher can do it even better. So, what does a teacher have so special that can make a student go back to lessons? Let's point out two basic teacher privileges that may come in handy.
Above all, so-called Eye-to-eye Relationship.
- You know what their goals are, make sure you use this knowledge one hundred percent!
- Don’t hesitate to contact your students on break, ask how they are doing and when they are going to resume English classes.
- Show that you are genuinely worried about their progress and that you are interested in working with every student in particular.
Eventually, no one will remain unmoved!
Secondly, the Library full of resources.
- If you know your students’ interests or hobbies, they can definitely help you to remind about yourself. Articles, videos, podcasts are available on EnglishDom website, so you can share them and thus attract your students’ attention. You’ve got ED products links in the Teacher’s dashboard at hand. It only takes a few minutes to find what your student likes.
It’s a great way to get a learner back to English.
By any means, don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits!
Also, remember that you must take care of yourself during the work process. Start your day with a green tea, use an aromatherapy oil roll on pressure points and have enough sleep.
Wish you all the best,
your friends at EnglishDom
